NOTES FROM A WTC RESCUE WORKERS FOOD STATION
I thought I'd stumbled into Hogs & Heifers. It was 5:30 a.m., but Matchbox 20 was blaring from loudspeakers, and policemen and volunteer women were hanging out at the cappuccino bar, laughing and joking. It was low-ceilinged and dark.
